As a member of RLSS UK, for the first time ever you have a vote which will directly impact the future of the Society.
Our very first ‘one member, one vote’ election will open on 1st June 2016. This is an extremely positive move that also allows members to vote from the age of 16 years old. This year is particularly important as you will vote to fill the vacancy of Deputy President – a pivotal role for the future of the Society and a position which includes three years deputising to the current President then leading directly into the role as President of RLSS UK for a further three-year term.
We have had four applications for the post and you will be contacted at the end of this month to be invited to vote online for your choice of Deputy President and also to vote on a few necessary processes that are essential for the operation of the charity.
Voting will only take a moment and we value each and every vote. Voting is being administered on our behalf by the Electoral Reform Services (ERS) and will be live from 1 – 29 June 2016. All of the voting information will be included in an email which will come from ERS, you will be provided with a security code which you will need to enter in order to vote. Please check your inbox for an email from ERS on 1st June. The information will also be on our own website with a link to the ERS site. If you are unable to vote online, please call our Helpline (01789 774 205) and discuss alternative options with our friendly staff. The results of the voting will be announced at the AGM on Saturday 2nd July and on the RLSS UK website.
