We would like to congratulate Martin Symcox, Director of IQL UK since January 2014, on his new appointment as CEO for Metro Blind Sport. Martin leaves RLSS UK at the end of September and we are pleased to announce that Jo Talbot, currently Head of Products will take over as Interim Director of IQL UK, from 1 October for the next 6 months; the RLSS UK Leadership Team are looking forward to working with Jo and we’re sure you will all join us in wishing her well with this much-deserved opportunity.

Jo Talbot will continue to manage the development of new products for RLSS UK and IQL UK as well as the role of Director for IQL UK. Jo’s expansive knowledge and experience in the industry, within the public and private leisure sector, as an Operator, Health and Safety Manager and Training Manager will help her to manage IQL going forward.

Georgie is responsible for updating and standardising our policies and procedures for all our qualifications ensuring that IQL UK adheres to regulatory responsibilities as an Awarding Organisation, and for dealing with all matters related to compliance e.g., policy documentation, appeals, complaints, malpractice, maladministration and reasonable adjustments and special considerations.

Keith develops new business and bespoke partnerships and supports our multi-site ATC/Ps by providing support and guidance in the expanding the opportunities for increased course delivery.

David supports qualification development and workforce engagement. He is our link with our loyal workforce to support delivery of our qualifications.

Simon is responsible for managing the IQL UK external audit and supports operators within his region with compliance matters and general support for IQL UK products and services.

Helen carries out IQL external audits and supports operators within her region with compliance matters and general support for IQL UK products and services.

Richard also carries out IQL external audits and supports operators within his region with compliance matters and general support for IQL UK products and services.

Aaron, formally a Community Drowning Prevention Coordinator (CDPC), came off the road at the beginning of 2018 to take on the role of Non-Vocational Awards Manager and is responsible for the Lifesaving Awards. Aaron has recently joining the Product Team within IQL as the Lifesaving expert and looks forward to supporting the wider team on a variety of projects.

Nick develops current and new qualifications for trainers to deliver. Nick has significant experience in the delivery and assessment of our products.

Vivienne manages the National Water Safety Management Programme (NWSMP) as well as helping to identify and grow new business opportunities for the society and coordinating the IQL UK Conference.

Debbie is the main point of contact for IQL UK courses; providing customer support for technical queries, processing First Aid Trainer applications and delivering wider administrative support to both office-based and field-based IQL UK team members.
